Welcome to the website for the Mill Lane Community Garden. Much like the garden itself, this site is also a constant work in progress.
Should you wish to join in with the fun and volunteer in the garden, you will find our contact details on this website, on our
Facebook page, and on our banner
The committee of the Mill Lane Community Garden is eager to reach out to groups of all ages and abilities in the village,
to ensure that the garden is enjoyed and that it benefits as many people in the village as possible.
If you are a member of a group that might be interested in hearing about the acquisition and development of the garden, or would like to pay us a visit, please email us.

Our volunteers are often involved in work parties on weekday mornings. So if the gate is open, please feel free to pop in to say hello. One of our volunteers will be happy to show you around; and take your details should you wish to volunteer your time!!! Apologies but while the garden remains a work in progress it represents a potential safety hazard, so the gate will be closed if no volunteers are on site.
Remember, whenever we are harvesting from the garden, we leave produce at the entrance
to the garden for folk to help themselves.
Here are just a couple of examples:
If you aren't sure where the garden is located, we are situated in the north western corner of Chinnor.
We are on Mill Lane between Mill Lane School and Pillmore Meadow, which is part of the new Driftway development.
Hopefully this photo will help to narrow it down (although work on the garden hadn't started when Google's satellite flew over). Should you wish to come and have a look but are unable to do so by foot,
there are several parking spaces available within the site. However, if these are all full, please do not park on Mill Lane itself.
The entrance to the site is very close to a pinch point and Mill Lane can get very busy. You could try the White's Field car park, assuming it is open;
the entrance to which is just beyond the other pinch point, which is just outside the school.
